Seems clear that lawyers did not exist at the time this thing was built.
Just think about the crap designers must have to go through nowadays to put an exhaust under the doors (Viper, Mustang).

Looks like this thing has 24 exhaust ports. But it is said it's a V-12 (PT boat engine making 1500hp)...

The engine is a Packard 4M 2500 iirc, and they had twin port design, so yes indeed, it's got 24 pipes and 12 cylinders. :)
